Christopher Vera influences organizational culture by building security programs. He is an information security practitioner with over 12 years experience in drafting and publishing security policy, creating and managing multiple computer incident response and forensics teams, as well as security architecture, vulnerability management, security engineering and security awareness programs.
As a Geological Sciences major from San Diego State University, he is trained to examine the positive and negative synergies between large collections of systems. While at SDSU, he founded Show Me Geology, a program that still exists today with the mission to introduce elementary level students to the geological sciences.
He occasionally presents information security topics at Securing Our eCity, ISSA’s annual Secure San Diego and for The Security Network. He works for a Fortune 500 company in San Diego, CA as a lead security architect and is an active member of Infragard.
